Alto Adige Wine Road

The South Tyrolean Wine Road entices visitors with its mild climate and stunning scenery between the Dolomites and cypresses. In the 16 wine villages—from Bolzano through Kaltern, Bronzolo, Vadena to Salorno—indigenous grape varieties such as Lagrein and Vernatsch thrive, alongside Gewürztraminer, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir, across 4,400 hectares. Vineyards on hills and in the valleys offer unforgettable views and invite visitors to start their holiday as early as March.

Let yourself be enchanted by the variety of grapes, landscapes, and the vibrant wine culture along the Alto Adige Wine Road.

On the trail of discovering more about wine

Every first Friday of the month (April-October) there is an action-packed taster journey along the South Tyrolean Wine Road. Learn more about the journey of wine, from viticulture to your glass – professionally guided, culinarily harmonious, and full of experiences. The WineSafari is an unforgettable wine culture experience in search of fine wines.

THE ITINERARY
The adventure begins with a guided tour in a sparkling wine cellar followed by a tasting.
The excitement continues in the vineyard with a guided tour and tasting.
The search for traces makes you hungry, so a leisurely lunch with wine accompaniment follows to provide plenty of energy.
A visit to a winery with a cellar tour and tasting introduces the afternoon. There will also be:
either a guided walk through a wine village (takes place before the winery visit)
or a glass of wine/distillate and small snacks in a wine shop, winery, or distillery (takes place after the winery visit).
Price: 190 Euro (including bus tour with an experienced tour guide, wine tastings, lunch)

Wine & Bike

Wine and landscape of the Culturonda® Wine

From May to October, on request, a half-day bicycle tour along one of the four pleasure cycle routes along the South Tyrolean wine route is offered. Exploring the varied South Tyrolean wine region by bicycle is a very special experience. The wine-enthusiasts cycle either through the Pinot Blanc region of Appiano, the St. Magdalena and Lagrein region around Bolzano, through the region of the Kalterer See in Caldaro, or through the Gewürztraminer region in Termeno.

Price: 65 Euro per person with their own bike; including an experienced bike-guide, tour of a wine cellar with small wine tasting
Bike hire: With bike hire an additional 21 Euro, with hire of an eBike an additional 30 Euro.
