Laives’ Nativity Scene Tradition

During the Advent season and up until Epiphany on January 6th, the town of Laives/Leifers transforms into an atmospheric nativity scene paradise.

Nativity Scene Trail from 29.11.2025 to 06.01.2026
In the town centre, along the streets Via Kennedy and Via Pietralba, shops decorate their windows with lovingly handcrafted nativity scenes selected and provided by the "Leiferer Krippenfreunde" association. This nativity scene trail invites visitors to discover the diversity and creativity of nativity scene culture and immerse themselves in the festive spirit. Nativity Scene Exhibition on 6, 7 and 8.12.2025
The "Leiferer Krippenfreunde" organize an impressive nativity scene exhibition in the exhibition hall at Via Pietralba 29. This takes place on the second Advent weekend and will be opened this year on 7 December at 10 o'clock with a ceremonial blessing of the nativity scenes. From 10-12 am and 2-6 pm, the exhibition offers the opportunity to admire the craftsmanship and dedication of the nativity scene creators up close and to discuss their work with them.
